To design a city shoes version of the model La Rafale, Hardrige, footwear manufacturer for the French Air Army has worked closely with the French trend office L'Ecurie.
L'Ecurie, agency specializing in mobility, has teamed up with Patrice Meignan, Publishing Director of French magazine Intersection, to sign an original footwear making a free and couture reinterpretation of La Rafale, boots for supersonic aircraft's airmen. The essence of the original model is preserved while being propelled into the world of contemporary luxury. L'Ecurie also designed a jewel-casket equaling the excesses of the model, transforming a 60s' prestigious sports coupé into a shoes trunk: A Karman Porsche from 1968 without handles, without retro, topshopped, equipped with wheels moon, without chromium and painted matte gray nimbus specially developed for this project. Its front trunk is transformed into a trunk and supplied with a P.A. system and a video equipment projecting making off films from the project which you can watch a snippet here.
In exclusive, we reveal some images of this footwear where you can discover its gloss leather details, its suede fabric and a few zipped and scratch details.
This model will be sold exclusively at colette from January 13, 2010, the first pair being sold with the trunk.
